QDO (Quick drop-off) / QPU (Quick pick-up)

Faster delivery and collection for export and import shipments

With QDO (Quick drop-off) and QPU (Quick pick-up), Lufthansa Cargo offers time-saving solutions for delivery and collection processes at selected stations. Both services prioritize shipments and reduce waiting times for drivers. 

Requirements to make use of QDO (Quick drop-off) process 

  1. Electronic data transmission of shipment data eAWB.
  2. Register all AWBs of a shipment via Lufthansa Cargo website. Navigate to the option undereServices, then select More services to expand the menu and choose Quick drop-off / Quick pick-up.
  3. Generate theQDO code.
  4. Provide the QDO code at the deliver station grants prioritised processing of the shipment to save waiting times for the transporter.

API option

To lighten the manual efforts shippers can connect to the TruckPreAdvice API to generate QDO codes directly from the delivering agent’s transport management system.

With QPU (Quick pick-up) shipment collection processes can be shortened at selected stations. To make use of this service, customers or delivering agents must register every AWB of a shipment via Lufthansa Cargo’s Website to create a special Quick pick-up code. If provided by the driver at registration, the QPU code grants prioritised processing of the shipment to save waiting times for the transporter.
