What is changing:

As of 1July 2025 Algeria customs mandatorily requires some data elements for all import shipments.

- 6 digit HS Codes

- NIF (Tax ID number) for economic operator consignee

- NIN (National ID number) for non-economic operator consignee (natural person)

HS Codes are mandatory for all shipments. Government institutions, ministries, diplomatic mail and human remains are exempt from providing NIF.

To-do for customer:

 Include 6 digit HS Codes in FWB in the respective field intended as per IATA Spec.

Include NIF in FWB in OCI line: OCI/DZ/CNE/T/00123456666745367899 (15-20digit number)

For natural persons include NIN in FWB in OCI line in same format as NIF.

Please note that Consolidations are not allowed into Algeria. Further details in attached memo received from GHA in Algeria.
