PreCheck

Ensures data quality early and accelerates cargo acceptance

With PreCheck, Lufthansa Cargo offers a free service to check preliminarily transferred electronic shipment data for incorrect specifications, incomplete goods descriptions, and other errors before shipping. Customers can correct data errors before their shipment reaches goods acceptance, speeding up the delivery process by avoiding delays at the counter. The outcome of data checks is transferred electronically via messaging and email.
 

The following credentials are mandatory to use PreCheck

  • PreCheck applies to eAWB shipments only.
  • The customer has to be registered as a PreCheck user.
  • At least one e-mail address must be given for notification purposes.

PreCheck email registration

  1. Entry or login as registered user
  2. .Navigation to the selection option: Open the selection menu, choose Info Hub, then select eTracking underAbout eServices.
  3. Selection of preferred notification type with option to file up to six email addresses in Company notification settings.
 

PreCheck correction of errors

When PreCheck detects an error in shipment data, an error message is sent via messaging or email. The following shows how errors can be corrected:
  • Check PreCheck message for data errors.
  • Correct, refresh or complete data errors.
    • Send updated shipment data via FHL/ (X)FWB or XFZB update, or through the Lufthansa Cargo website.
  • For incomplete adress data or handling information
    • Refresh customer data via Lufthansa Cargo website.
