eCSD (electronic consignment security declaration)

The digital IATA standard eCSD (electronic Consignment Security Declaration) provides all safety-relevant data of a shipment, such as its security status, and enables structured electronic transfer and archiving. As part of the eAWB (electronic air waybill), eCSD ensures transmission of of security information to carrier and customs offices via FWB message. The electronic document can be verified at any point of the supply chain by authorities and printed if required.
