Just to make sure: insurance for your air freight

Generally, our liability for your air freight only applies from airport to airport. With additional transport insurance, your shipments are also insured on the way to the airport and from the airport to the recipient. Together with our partner Delvag, we offer protection specifically tailored for air freight risks.

Simply well insured

  • Covering loss or damage beyond Lufthansa Cargo's standard maximum liability to insure your shipments worldwide from door to door.
  • Easy booking via entry of charge code and calculated insurance premium (insurance purchase validation) into Master AWB (or FWB).
  • Certificates free of charge upon request at all Lufthansa Cargo freight offices.
  • Quick disbursement by Lufthansa Cargo freight offices during settling of claims.
  • Additional insurance coverage is available for war and strike risk, as well as for storage beyond 30 days.
  • Insurance of up to EUR 500,000 per shipment (more on request).
  • Everything about our insurance partner Delvag Versicherungs AG and the transport insurance.
