Lufthansa Cargo operates the most modern live animal facilities in the world on 3,750 square meters at Frankfurt Airport - the Frankfurt Animal Lounge. Everyone involved in the animal transport, including coordinators, veterinary doctors and freight handlers, are all in a single building. Clearly distinct zones (for export, import, transit and health inspections), adjustable stalls with an area of up to of 28 square meters each and individually controlled climatic boxes comply with the most recent hygienic and veterinary EU regulations.
